Eastern Sierra Agility Group started in 2006 as a small group of dog agility enthusiasts – three people to be exact! Through word-of-mouth, competitive training seminars, and beginning agility classes offered by local dog trainers, ESAG has grown to 12 full-time members and 18 dogs. ESAG continues to offer beginning agility classes several times a year and is committed to bringing seminars by renowned agility trainers to the East Side.
ESAG NADAC trials:
For several years, it has been the Eastern Sierra Agility Group’s goal to hold a NADAC agility trial. We teamed up in August of 2009 with mdt/AgilityAbility─ a club from Sparks/Reno, NV ─ and hosted the first agility trial in this area. We provided the field location at Whitmore Recreation area plus the volunteer manpower, and the Reno club provided the equipment and expertise. The trial was a success, prompting ESAG to become a NADAC sanctioned club and making the trial an annual ESAG events.
ESAG offers beginning and continuing agility classes throughout the year, along with several different types of competitive training groups and memberships. For more information on how to get involved please check out our agility class information or contact us.
